Yvan is not only an incredible chef, but also a true artist and storyteller. His warm, generous personality made everyone feel at home right away. The setting is stunning, the ingredients are fresh and local, and the kitchen itself feels like a Provençal dream. Guests were raving about the dishes, the laughter, the colors, and the passion behind each recipe. They all left with stars in their eyes (and full bellies!). What a wonderful afternoon we had around his kitchen island slicing and dicing, rolling and scooping. After most of the prep work was done we shared a cold glass of Rosé in his garden. Our lunch started with gazpacho and an onion tart. Our main was pesto and onion baked fish. We ended with wonderful almond cookies and ice cream…and of course coffee. All 6 of us had a hand in preparing the meal and we all had a great time. I heartily recommend this experience. BTW - we were staying in Avignon and it was a simple and straightforward 20 minute drive.
